Gilbert Watkins left the audit staff of a "Big Five" CPA firm to practice the full
spectrum of accounting, audits, tax counsel and preparation, and business and
financial planning at Schwartz & Hofflich. He joined us in 1979 and became a partner
in 1984.
Gil's outside activities include his ongoing participation in the Connecticut Society of
Certified Public Accountants Continuing Education Program. Over the years, he also
has served as Treasurer for a number of non-profit agencies, most recently serving
as treasurer for Norwalk High School's Marching Bears, Inc. He is also Treasurer and
a member of the Board of Directors of the Norwalk Mentor Scholarship Fund.
An active member of the community, he is a past president of the Norwalk Rotary
Club and currently serves on the Board of Directors. He is Chairman of the Rotary
Club's food booth for the annual Norwalk Seaport Oyster Festival.
Motorcycling, racquetball, skiing and golf are among Gil's pastime activities.
