About Us

Irving Schwartz started a one-man practice in New York City in 1948, and opened a second office in New Canaan, Connecticut in 1952. The practice was consolidated into one location in Norwalk in 1957. The partnership of Schwartz & Hofflich was formed with Henry Hofflich in 1960. Both founding partners have retired and the firm has grown to include seven partners.

Throughout our existence, we’ve helped many small entrepreneurs to prosper by becoming their close advisors. We’ve done it by learning as much as we could about their business and discovering the nuances that differentiate one from another. This knowledge and a high level of personal service is of the utmost importance to us. Client satisfaction leading to long-lasting relationships remains our primary goal.

We are members of DFK International an organization of independent CPA firms. DFK is represented in about 80 countries with over 300 offices and about 7,500 in combined personnel. We have these resources available to help us fulfill our clients’ needs, even though we remain an independent entity dedicated to providing our clients with the very highest quality of personal service.
